VISION

In the spirit of transparency, and recognizing that people are a part of the systems within which they operate, we share our perspective through visions for a possible future:

? Ecologically Informed & Inclusive Governance

Governing bodies are informed by the people who understand their bio-regions e.g. watershed based civic assemblies.

? Positive Peace & Mindful Leadership

Peace begins in the mind and heart of each self-reflexive person, who is conscious of their own piece of a problem and works to bring about equanimity at home, in their community, and in the world. This is reflected in institutions and broader systems.

? Social Cohesion

Sense-making happens through sustained conversations with opposing viewpoints. Mediators and alternative dispute regulation mechanisms are drawn upon to resolve conflicts.

? Conflict-Sensitive Climate Finance

Governments, institutions, and communities plan and finance projects with the wisdom of being good ancestors.

? Doughnut Economics & Flourishing Business Models

The economy functions within the bounds of social and ecological health.

Non-toxic Circular Economy

Materials are biodegradable or modular and leave no toxic trace for the environment or our bodies.

? Life-Centred Building & Infrastructure Design

The built environment respects the umwelt of humans and non-human species alike.

? Pluriversal Values

Multiple conceptions of the sacred co-exist, expressed in a diversity of cultures, and held in shared respect. People accept, respect, and protect each other’s faith, spiritual, and cultural traditions.

“Power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is love correcting everything that stands against love.”

― Martin Luther King Jr.
